Make-Believe Studio is a creative offshoot of School of Machines, Making & Make-Believe

School of Machines was founded in Berlin in 2014 to create in-depth learning experiences in art, technology, design and human connection for women, BIPOC, LGBTQIA+ and others often underrepresented in these spaces.

Since 2015, School of Machines has been housed in ACUD Kunsthaus, one of the few remaining independent art houses predating the fall of the Berlin Wall.

Make-Believe Studio has recently opened at the top floor of ACUD in the hope of building a place where curious humans can come together.

Make-Believe Studio offers a co-working space for creative people that are interested in being part of an artistic community based on architectures of care, alongside critical use of emerging technologies.

This is a non-for-profit project in which every member has a voice and an impact.

Work alongside like-minded humans that care about their work as much as they do about the world and others. We are a group of artists and creatives that produces socially engaged artworks that critically address the current state of the world.

Mutual Support and Solidarity
